Download the Syllabus of APSC CCE Preliminary Examination and APSC CCE 2020 Questions papers of both GS-1 and GS-2 (CSAT).

The Combined Competitive Preliminary Examination conducted Assam Public Service Commission consists of 2 papers:

1. General Studies I, (Paper -I), 200 Marks
2. General Studies II, (Paper -II), 200 Marks (Qualifying)
3. Total 400 Marks
4. The total qualifying marks of Paper-I General Studies I of Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination maybe determined by the Commission.
5. General Studies II shall have minimum qualifying marks of 33%.

APSC Prelims General Studies I, Paper -I

Question Types: Objective

Total Score: 200 Marks

Duration: 2 (Two) Hours

Negative Marking: ¼ th (.50)

Syllabus:

1. Current events of national and international importance.
2. History of India and Indian National Movement.
3. Indian and World Geography-Physical, Social, Economic Geography of India and the World.
4. Indian Polity and Governance-Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights issues etc.,
5. Economic and Social Development-Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion, Demographics, Social Sector Initiatives, etc.
6. General issues on Environment ecology, Bio-Diversity and Climate Change- that do not require subject specialization.
7. General Science.

APSC Prelims General Studies II, Paper -II (CSAT Paper)

Question Types: Objective

Total Score: 200 Marks

Duration: 2 (Two) Hours

Negative Marking: ¼ th (.50)

Syllabus:

1. Comprehension.
2. Interpersonal skills including communication skills.
3. Logical reasoning and analytical ability.
4. Decision making and problem solving.
5. General mental ability.
6. Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude, etc.) (Class X level), Data Interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc.) (Class X level)
